What was this challenge? To design a business card for Zeus. Yes, that Zeus. The one who calls Olympus home.
Of course the first image to come to mind was the lightning bolt.
But as I explored Zeus further, I was reminded that there is more to him than just a lightning bolt. I considered exploring that on the opposite side of the card.
The more I thought on it, the more I kept thinking that Zeus is the King of the Olympian Gods and there’s a certain arrogance to that. He’s not going to put a lot of different ways to contact him. You should just know. So I pared it down.
Along the same vein, he wouldn’t have any problem with putting an image of himself on the opposite side of his card.
As I was playing with what I refer to as ‘the visage’ card, I decided two things.
- I liked the map front but it still wasn’t quite right.
- One of the things I love about Moo cards is that you can print multiple backs, so I wanted to take advantage of that.
That all said, here’s what came of my pondering and playing.
The four symbols of Zeus: lighting/thunder, the eagle, the oak and the bull.
I hope you enjoy them :)

thanks for the help!
You did great!
Hi! I very much like your ‘Four Symbols of Zeus’ and was wondering if you would mind if I use the graphic as a background for my ‘Beard of Zeus Books’ online Facebook shop. I would be willing to send you a list of books that I have and do barter and trade as well if you like.
Thanks!

I’m glad to hear that you enjoy it :) All I ask is that you include the ‘signature’ on there. I’m pretty sure I kept a copy of the psd file so if It doesn’t quite fit I could send you an adjusted one.
